This four night adventure lets you paddle the Grassy River, hike up to mesmerizing High Falls, cruise Kenogamissi and even do some multi-species angling. Come on. Get wild with us. This is a sample itinerary. Each package can be customized for group size, age, interest, and timing. Alterations resulting from unforeseeable circumstances may occur. Your guides’ utmost priority is your safety, please follow their instructions closely.
Arrive at Wawaitin Holiday Park for 3:00PM. Meet your guide, enjoy welcome refreshments, take in orientation, registration, and water and boating safety. Enjoy a quick dip in the lake before dinner outdoors, and overnight lodging in one of our six yurt cabins. All of the waterways you will be on are inside the City of Timmins limits.
Today you spend the day fishing and swimming on beautiful Kenogamissi Lake. Lunch will be held at Post 392, a semi-remote bed & breakfast where you will experience hospitality like nowhere else. Tonight is reserved for cozy bonfires, roasted marshmallows, and the background singing of the loons.
Local native heritage is today's theme, starting with a ceremonial hike to High Falls on the Grassy River. You are in the Arctic watershed, where all rivers flow north. Enjoy an easy paddle downstream, and we will pick you up at the bridge and bring you back to the park.
After the morning meal, get set for the trip home or prepare for some ‘liquid medicine’ while canoeing on an ancient Hudson Bay fur trader’s route. Enjoy another fabulous shore lunch, and on your return, perhaps some blueberry picking for tonight's fine wine and dessert by the fire. Bannock anyone?
A hearty Canadian breakfast will be served at the park before your departure. The City of Timmins, filled with a heart of gold, is yours to discover. Are you in? Go wild!
